Are you passionate about being a voice for young people? Can you identify and resolve issues, want to develop leadership skills, get a better understanding of how local government operates and would be keen to get involved with event planning and delivery with other likeminded young people across the Shire? If so, then please apply to become a Youth Council member today!
As a Youth Councillor you will advocate for better services, opportunities, connections and wellbeing of young people.
There are 12 positions on Youth Council open to applicants aged between 16-24 years for a two-year period.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply to be on Youth Council you need to:
- Be aged 16 to 24 years (inclusive). Please note: you will need to be 16 prior to 1 February 2025
- Live, work, study or have a connection to the Moira Shire region.
- If you are over 18 years, be willing to obtain a Working with Children's and Police Check (we will assist you with the process if successful).
- Have Parent/Guardian permission if aged under 18 years.
